Gunners readying £33million bid for long-term Arsene Wenger favourite

Arsenal could launch a formal bid for Real Madrid outcast Isco in January, with reports suggesting they’ve put aside £33million for the Spaniard.

The Gunners have been linked with the attacking-midfielder for the past few seasons, with Arsene Wenger a huge admirer of the 23-year-old.

Despite having several options already for the attacking-midfield role, Wenger is ready to add Isco to his attacking-squad and could make a formal move of around £33m in the New Year.

Attacking Options at Emirates

With the likes of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky all wanting a central role just behind the striker, Arsenal have a wealth of options in that department, but Wenger is ready to make Isco another choice.

With Cazorla and Rosicky ageing, Isco could be seen as a long-term option at the age of just 23.

Due to the lack of game-time at the Bernabeu, Isco is considering his future and could be tempted to leave the La Liga giants in January.

James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are all ahead of Isco in the pecking order and with the Euros coming up next summer, Isco wants to play regular football.
