Arsenal are set to make a £26million move for FC Barcelona winger, Pedro, in the January transfer market after falling down the pecking order at the Nou Camp.

The Spaniard, who was a crucial figure for the Catalan giants in previous years, has found his first-team opportunities limited under Luis Enrique and is now ready to follow Alexis Sanchez out of the door and maybe to the Emirates Stadium.

Pedro has scored six and assisted three in all competitions, but has been limited to just six La Liga starts, frustrating the 27-year-old, as he aims to play regularly.

According to reports over the Summer, Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, was keen on signing Pedro before he landed Sanchez, but the Frenchman was told by the player that he didn’t want to leave the Nou Camp.

However, with his role at the club changed, a move could now be on the cards.

Despite already having a whole load of attacking wealth at his disposal, Wenger is keen to add more pace to his options, and a £26m bid for Pedro could be lodged in January, but he may face competition from Manchester United and Liverpool, who have also both been linked with the winger.

When asked about his future, Pedro remained tight-lipped and refused to give anything away.

He said: “I don’t know what’s going to happen yet, I don’t know anything.

“I’m calm though. When a decision has to be made, I’ll speak with the club and we’ll see what happens.

“Whatever comes in the future, will come.”
