The Gunners are willing to offer the midfielder £100,000 a week to keep him at the club
Arsenal are preparing to offer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a new deal to keep him at the club, according to reports today.
The midfielder has had an impressive season for the Gunners, having played for the side in multiple positions throughout the season and impressing in each role. His versatility has led to him featuring as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder and winger and he has excelled wherever he has played.
Interest from Prem rivals
These performances have not just impressed Arsenal but several of their rivals too, with Liverpool, Man City and Man United all now considering moves for the England man after his impressive season.
Arsene Wenger though doesn’t want to lose the 23-year old, as he has established himself as an important player for the club this year.
To try and convince him to stay, Wenger is now preparing to offer Oxlade-Chamberlain a fresh deal with increased wages and more years on the contract.
His current contract is due to expire in 2018, meaning he would be able to leave on a free in a year’s time if he doesn’t pen a new agreement soon.
Arsenal though are hoping to tempt him with this new offer, which would see him become part of the highest-paid earners at the club.
