Rolando Aarons has contract dispute at St James’ Park
Arsenal are close to signing Newcastle United starlet Rolando Aarons, with the winger’s row with the club continuing over a new contract.
The 19-year-old’s future is in doubt at St James’ Park, after the winger and his representatives not being able to agree on terms for a new deal with the Magpies after a month of negotiations.
Arsenal and Liverpool Interest
It was revealed that new talks have been held to clear the air between the two parties, but this is not true according to the Daily Express and many other newspaper and online reports in England.
Arsenal now the bookmaker’s favourites to sign the England U20 international, despite the wealth of options they already have in the attacking department.
However, Arsenal face tough competition for the Jamaican-born playmaker as Liverpool are also preparing a bid of around £8million for the winger but Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of Aarons and is prepared to pay ‘big money’ to bring him to the Emirates.
