Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata on-loan for six-months.
The Gunners are very light in the forward area with just Olivier Giroud being the only recognised striker due to Lukas Podolski’s injury, and Arsene Wenger’s patience with Nicklas Bendtner has run thin after poor performances when given the chance.
Wenger has been watching Morata for a while now and has been keen to land him on-loan as useful cover for Giroud.
Not only have Arsenal been interested in the young striker, Tottenham Hotspur wanted to bring him to White Hart Lane as part of the Gareth Bale deal, but they were told that he would not be leaving the club.
