Arsene Wenger has been told it will cost £24 million to sign PSG youngster Adrien Rabiot.

Last week the reports coming out of London were that they were close to agreeing a deal which would see the youngster join the gunners but no fee was announced, the latest news will come as a blow for Wenger who wants to add to his central midfield.

Wenger turned down the chance to sign Cesc Fabregas who starred in Chelsea’s win over Burnley on Monday but insists he was right to turn down the spaniard. Rabiot is targeted to be the man to complete the Gunners midfield but now it’ll take a huge bud to land the French under 21 international.

Paris Saint Germain are keen to hang onto starlet Rabiot but with splashing out huge sums in the transfer market already this summer they are also willing to listen to offers in excess of £24 million.

The Frenchman is also now entering the final year of his contract to business will need to be done now or face losing him for free next summer if he does not sign a new deal.

Arsenal are also thought to be monitoring Newcastles Check Tiote who they see as a more immediate and cheaper alternative. The Ivorian is a key member of the Newcastle side and would fit in straight away for the Gunners who look to challenge for premiership silverware this season.
