Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin have signed new long-term contracts with Arsenal.
Giroud, 30 – Coquelin, 25 – and Koschielny, 31 have all penned new deals committing their future to the Gunners.
Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger said:Â “We are very pleased that three important members of our team have committed to us for the long term.
“Francis has made tremendous technical strides over the past few years because he’s so focused every day.
“Olivier has big experience in the game now and has become a more and more complete player since joining us.
“Laurent is of course a key part of our squad and I believe one of the best defenders in the world today. So overall, this is great news for us.”
Arsenal fan, Tom Crago said of the deals: “I’m very happy Giroud has signed a new deal, he’s become an incredibly valued member of the squad and has bailed us out countless times recently! Coquelin is still young, and has bags of potential, and I’m looking forward to see how he grows with us – With Koscielny, Arsenal’s defensive players have worried me recently so hopefully this new deal will motivate him to help bolster us a little bit and improve our back line.”
It’s clear Arsenal fans feel optimistic about the trio’s new contracts, and time will certainly tell if they deserve and have earned the new long term deals.
