Arsenal turn to Juventus star as Walcott’s replacement

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will spend money this month after Theo Walcott’s injury has ruled him out for the rest of the season, and it appears that Juventus winger Sebastian Giovinco is one of the Frenchman’s top targets.

A ligament injury will keep Walcott out for six months, and when facing the press yesterday, Wenger confirmed that he will dive into the market now this month due to the lack of depth he now has available.

Wenger has been keeping tabs on Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata for a loan until the end of the season, but he has now turned his attentions to Serie A as he tries to lure Giovinco away from Juventus.

The 26-year-old is currently out of favour with Juve and has only made two appearances so far this season, so it is believed that they will allow the Italian to leave on loan for the rest of the season.

Giovinco can play as a second striker, winger or play-maker.
