Stuart Pearce reckons Manchester City midfielder would be ideal for Gunners
Arsenal should try and lure Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure to the Emirates Stadium, according to Stuart Pearce.
The Ivorian international is heavily expected to leave the Etihad Stadium in the summer due to the arrival of Pep Guardiola, and Pearce believes he’d be ideal for Arsenal.
With Manuel Pellegrini departing and Guardiola arriving, Toure is tipped to leave City due to the problems he has with the former-Barcelona boss, and Pearce reckons Arsene Wenger should attempt to sign him over the summer.
Arsenal Should Sign Toure
‘On his day, Yaya Toure is outstanding,’ he told Talksport.
‘Arsenal need an old head within the team.
‘Petr Cech has proved a fantastic success this year at Arsenal, and to have a player like Toure at the centre of midfield, as that holding type of player, I think he’d give one or two of the youngsters a bit of a lift.
‘I think he’d be a good signing for them.’
