The Juventus midfielder looks set to join the Gunners after the Copa America

Juventus are prepared to sell the Chile international to raise funds for Bayern’s Benatia, according to reports in Italy.

According to Italian newspaper La Stampa, Arturo Vidal is on the verge of completing a £21.2million move to Arsene Wenger’s side.

The 28-year-old, who won the Serie A and Coppa Italia with Juventus last season, is apparently keen on linking up with Chile team-mate Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates.

Should Vidal become an Arsenal player next season Juventus would then have the money to pursue Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia.

The Morocco international only joined the Bundesliga giants last summer from Roma but Bayern are reportedly willing to listen to offers of around £17.5million.

Napoli’s Faouzi Ghoulam is also reportedly set for a summer switch for Arsenal – the Algeria international is on the verge of completing a £11million move.

Manchester United interest

United manager Louis Van Gaal is also thought to be keen on Benatia as he looks for defensive reinforcements ahead of next season.

Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos is also another reported target of the Manchester club with Ramos thought to be unhappy with his current contract.

Despite Real’s reluctance to sell the Spain international, they are reportedly open to the possibility of a swap deal involving David De Gea.
