Arsenal are eyeing up a £20m deal for Southampton midfielder Victor Vanyama.
Wanyama has been key to Saints’ impressive season, and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen on the Kenyan.
He arrived in 2013 from Scottish club Celtic for £12.5m, and in September 2014 he was named the league’s African Player of the Month.
Wenger was rumoured to be originally looking to sign Wanyama’s team-mate Morgan Schneiderlin, but is now turning his attentions away from the German.
The combative midfielder is key to Southampton’s hopes of bringing European football to St Mary’s next season, even though he may not be around to play a part next term.
