Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping a close eye on the promising pair and wants to make a formal offer for the duo in the coming January transfer window. El Haddadi made his debut for Spain, coming off the bench in his country’s 5-1 win against Macedonia on Monday. Wenger is confident of triggering the forward’s release clause in his contract and wants to sign playmaker Samper in the following. Samper also has a release clause in his contract, but it is understood that it won’t trouble Arsenal in their pursuit to bring the Spaniard to The Emirates; the only thing remaning as an obstacle in the double deal being to convince both players to quit Barcelona and join the French manager in the Premier League.
Arsenal’s transfer history is filled with amny raids on the Spanish giants, and if the moves are agreed to, the two youngsters would follow the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Fran Merida, Jon Toral, Hector Bellerin and Julio Pleguezuelo in trading the Blaugrana for the Gunners.
