Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres has publicly apologised to his Swedish international teammate and Liverpool rival, Alexander Isak, for placing him last in a recent ranking of top strikers.
“Sorry Alexander”: Gyokeres Says Sorry for Placing Isak Bottom of Striker List

The incident occurred during an interview for the Ballon d’Or’s TikTok channel, where Gyokeres was given a list of strikers from past and present to arrange in a top 10.
When forced to place Isak in the tenth and final position, the Arsenal forward immediately expressed regret.
“Oh my god. I have to put him tenth,” Gyokeres said.
“Sorry, Alexander, you’re not tenth, but my ranking was not as planned, as you know.
I have to put you here for now, but I’ll change it after.”
Despite his apology, Gyokeres did not adjust the final list, ultimately placing himself alongside Isak in the shared tenth spot. Other notable strikers, such as Robert Lewandowski, featured higher in his rankings.

The exchange adds a interesting layer to the pair’s parallel journeys this season.
Both completed big-money moves to Premier League giants, with Isak joining Liverpool for £125 million and Gyokeres moving to Arsenal.
So far, Gyokeres has enjoyed a more productive start, netting five goals for Arsenal across all competitions. Isak, meanwhile, has found his transition to Liverpool more challenging.
After missing a pre-season, the 26-year-old has managed only two goal contributions and is currently dealing with a groin injury, hampering his ability to make an immediate impact.
Despite the slow start, many believe Alexander Isak will prove his world-class potential at Liverpool.
As he regains full fitness and the team adapts to his style, his proven consistency and talent from his Newcastle United days suggest he is poised to become a key success for manager Arne Slot’s side.
