Roberto Firmino will not be able to join title rivals Arsenal, due to having an £82.6million release clause in his current deal with Liverpool.

Le Soir have managed to get hold of a copy of the forward’s contract from Football Leaks and have revealed the details in the Brazil international’s deal with the Reds.

They state that Firmino would be allowed to leave Anfield if the £82.6m buy-out clause is met, but he is not able to join Arsene Wenger’s side, even if they submit an offer of any higher amount.

The Gunners bid £40m plus £1 for key player Luis Suarez in the summer of 2013, believing that they had activated a clause in the Uruguay international’s contract with Liverpool but the striker went on to move to Spanish giants Barcelona instead.

Firmino has been on fire in the Premier League so far this term, scoring six goals and grabbing three assists in 15 appearances while playing a starring role for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit.
