Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has told the club’s board that they need to sign TWO players this month.

Despite his public comments on transfers this month, it’s reported that Wenger has held talks with the board and has told them that they need to sign two players in the window – a centre-back and a midfielder.

Wenger is very closed about his business in the media, refusing to comment on most transfer speculation and refusing to give away any clues about where he will strengthen, but according to reports, he has already told the board what he wants.

The Frenchman is now ready to sign a defensive-midfielder and a defender, with injuries still a problem at the Emirates Stadium.

Mathieu Debuchy is now expected to miss up to three months with a dislocated shoulder, whilst Mikel Arteta has suffered a further setback and won’t return until February at the earliest.

Some names being linked with a move to Arsenal are; Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan, Winston Reid, Tyrone Mings, Krystian Bielik and Grzegorz Krychowiak.
