Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is full of praise for midfielder Santi Cazorla and he believes his unfussy nature is something that people like about him.
A lot of people resemble Cazorla to the film character ‘Happy Gilmore’ played by Adam Sandler, because he appears to look like him, according to some, but the main thing people say about the Spaniard is that he never stops smiling and laughing, despite playing a competitive football match.
Cazorla has become one of the best Premier League players after impressing in his first season in England and according to a stat, the Arsenal man has the most assists in the Premier League for the amount of time he has been in the league for.
That is a stat that doesn’t surprise Wenger whatsoever.
“That tells you a lot about him,” Wenger said. “I like that in football, I like the guys who can make others happy and he is one of them.
“He is the type of player who comes into the dressing room, puts on his kit and goes out and plays. There is no strapping, no special medical preparation, he is just born to play football. He does that remarkably well.
“Football is natural for Santi and it is a joy to watch him for all of us. He is very happy on the pitch and that is why he can absorb these games.”
