Insider reveals new three-year deal has been tabled

Arsenal shareholder Piers Morgan has revealed that the club have offered Arsene Wenger a new three-year deal.

The Gunners boss has once again come under severe pressure from the club’s fans, with a portion of them calling for him to retire at the end of the season.

Banners have been held up at games thanking Wenger for the memories, but also asking him to step down as manager. This stems from the club falling out of the Premier League title-race, the FA Cup and the Champions League all in quick succession.

However, Arsenal officials are still fully-behind the Frenchman, and according to Morgan a new contract has been tabled which will see him remain at the club until 2019.

The celebrity tweeted about the news and labelled the decision as ‘utterly outrageous’.

Morgan Reveals New Deal

Morgan tweeted: “I’ve been told on very good authority that Wenger’s been offered a new 3-yr contract by Arsenal. If true, utterly outrageous.

“Have you offered Wenger a new contract @Arsenal? If so, how can you possibly justify it on his performance over last 11 years?”
