Arsene Wenger had the chance to make a shocking return to the Premier League by being the new manager of Fulham but the French manager rejected the chance according to some reports.

Wenger hasn’t picked up a new job since leaving the post at Arsenal and is currently enjoying his time off. The French manager recently indicated he is ready to come back to football early next year but won’t be coaching in the Premier League for his allegiance to the Gunners.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan was on the lookout for a potential successor to Slavisa Jokanovic who was sacked to make way for new manager Claudio Ranieri. Wenger was reportedly one of the favourites on the list but Khan failed to convince the former Gunners manager.

It would have been a step down for the manager had he said yes to the job as no one would have expected him to manage a club struggling to survive in the Premier League.

Wenger was earlier linked with AC Milan but refuted all the claims. The veteran stalwart is waiting to land a top European job and it would definitely not be a Premier League club.
