Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed tonight that he WILL NOT be signing Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer.
After months of reports and rumours, The Gunners boss confirmed tonight that the deal for Suarez is dead and there is no chance that he will be leaving Anfield for the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Arsenal have had two bids rejected by Liverpool for the Uruguayan this summer, one being worth £30million and one worth £40million (and a £1), but after both bids being rejected and Liverpool’s reluctancy to sell to a Premier League rival, it looks like Wenger is finally ready to give up on the deal.
The Frenchman spoke after he watched his side thrash Fenerbache 3-0 in a Champions League qualifier and when asked about the Suarez transfer, he all-but confirmed that there will be no deal for the 26-year-old.
When asked if the deal was over, Wenger said: ‘Yes. Absolutely no chance of that’.
