Arsene Wenger set for three-year deal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to be offered a three-year contract extension at the club which will be worth around £8million a season.

The Frenchman’s current contract expires this summer and there were major rumours suggesting that this would be his last season at the Emirates Stadium, but since the improvement of form and the signing of Mesut Ozil, it appears that he may now stay on longer.

The new three-year deal will see him reach 20-years at the club and will also see him earn £500,000 more a season.

Ivan Gazidis, the club’s chief executive, wants to wrap up the deal as soon as possible, but Wenger himself is in no rush to put pen to paper and has already said that he wants to see how things go this season first of all, but his main intention is to stay on at the club.
