Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini all set for exits in the summer

Arsenal are set to release three of their current first-team stars with Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini all set for summer exits.

The ageing trio are all entering the final few months of their contracts, and according to reports, Arsene Wenger is not ready to extend their deals.

Rosicky has been injured all season and isn’t expected back until the New Year, while both Arteta and Flamini have fallen behind Francis Coquelin in the first-team pecking order.

According to reports, Wenger and Arsenal are already planning for life without the trio, and it looks all-but certain that they will all be leaving the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.

Three Departures

Rosicky was meant to leave this summer, but the club activated a clause to keep him for another season, despite him not being in the first-team.

As for Flamini and Arteta, despite their valued experience and despite Wenger being a fan of having them around the dressing room, it’s looking likely that both will leave in the summer.

Early reports are suggesting that the Spaniard could become a coach at the club if he does choose to retire from playing.
