The Metro and the Daily Telegraph will have you believe that Arsene Wenger’s preference is to join Real Madrid if he leaves Arsenal this summer.
But has anyone actually heard Wenger say that?, I’ve looked everywhere, couldn’t find even just one interview of him saying it.
It’s fake news people.
Wenger did however, speak about his future as manager, in which he said:
‘No matter what happens, I will manage next season. Whether it is here or not, that is for sure,’ he said.
‘It is important for the club to make the right decision for the future. I did not work here for 20 years not to care.
‘I had many opportunities to go somewhere else but I care for this club and its future. It is important for the club to be in safe hands.’
So there it is, Wenger talking on his future, NOT Real Madrid, but his future as a manager, Judging by this, he himself has no idea what club after Arsenal.
