Danny Welbeck’s late equaliser salvaged a point for the Gunners against a resilient Hull City at the Emirates.

Wenger was in an aggrevated move following the game, snapping at a BBC reporter after being asked several questions regarding the weakness in his side’s defence and defensive midfield during his post-match press conference.

And it is understood that the French manager, who is celebrating his 65th birthday today, had his players in the team’s dressing room for nearly an hour after the final whistle.

Despite offering a calmer and more composed mood in the press conference, Wenger failed to hide his sheer disappointment.

“It is a very disappointing result because we were very unlucky with the referee’s decision for the first goal,” Wenger said.

“They had two shots and scored two goals – it is a long time since we’ve dominated so much and not won the game.

“We have conceded too many goals. Some other teams have bought many defenders and concede goals as well. I think it’s a matter of concentration.”
