Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his players to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table on Saturday, as their closest rivals do not play until the day after.
The Gunners travel to Wales to take on Cardiff City in which promises to be a tough fixture after the Welsh side have picked up four points there against Manchester City and Manchester United.
However, if Arsenal can pick up all three-points, they will extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points, with both Liverpool and Chelsea playing on the Sunday.
Wenger knows this is a good opportunity for his side to put some breathing distance between themselves and the rest of the pack, but he knows how much of a challenge Cardiff will be come Saturday.
‘We want to take advantage of playing earlier than our rivals this weekend.
‘We have the warning of their performances against the big teams.
‘Cardiff look to have a good solidarity and have a fantastic support. They are efficient on set pieces.’
