According to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, the gap occuring between third-placed Chelsea and fourth-placed Liverpool is an interesting one, but not a definitive one.

The Gunners are still sitting top of the Premier League after 22 games, but only lead Manchester City by one point, with Chelsea being two points behind.

Then comes Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur who sit six points behind The Blues, but according to Wenger, that gap can soon be bridged.

“There is a little, little, little [gap] you know,” Wenger told Arsenal Player. “An interesting one but of course it’s not a definitive one.

“That’s why at the moment we go through a period where it’s always like that, in January, February. You just focus on your games and then March, April is always [the time] to deal with the nerves.

“This is the period where you just want to be consistent and focus on yourself.”
