Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning on making a shock £15million bid for Chelsea striker Demba Ba once the January transfer window opens up.
The Gunners boss tried to sign Ba on loan in the Summer, but after they completed the signing of Mesut Ozil, Jose Mourinho decided against loaning out his striker to a title-rival.
Since then, Ba has admitted that he would have loved to join Arsenal, even if it was just on-loan, due to the fact he is way down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, as both Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto’o are used more frequently than the Senegal international.
Wenger is desperate to land a striker as he currently only has Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner has his striking options, and after a Summer of pursuing Gonzalo Higuian, Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema, it looks like the Frenchman is ready to go on the hunt again once Winter comes around.
