Jack Wilshere on champions agenda!
Jack Wilshere does appear to be constantly injured. Of that there is no doubt. However, despite months on the sideline, the England international completed 90 minutes for Arsenal Under-21’s this week, and could well be in the travelling squad at Burnley this coming weekend.
Arsene Wenger values his man greatly and is preparing a new and improved contract deal to fend off interest from current Premiership champions, Manchester City.
It is thought Wilshere could be offered new terms in excess of £150,000 a week to keep him at the Emirates with growing reports of a summer £25million offer from the blue side of Manchester.
City will be looking to overhaul a somewhat ageing squad in the summer and are once again turning to Arsenal for potential replacements.
Could Wilshere follow the previous moves of Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure from Arsenal to Manchester City?
Given current form, you would have to say that a move to City would be a step backwards for Wilshere, but of course the champions will come back strong again next season, despite the likelihood of them being de-throwed in a few weeks time. They have too much money not to.
