Serie A outfit, AS Roma, are the latest side to join the race for Chelsea goalkeeper, Petr Cech.

The 32-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the near-future after falling behind Thibaut Courtois in the ranks this season, and Roma are the latest team to declare their interest in the veteran.

Cech was told at the beginning of the season by Jose Mourinho that Courtois would be the number-one for the upcoming campaign, and despite choosing to stay at The Bridge, the Czech international was left disgruntled and unhappy.

A few months later, after failing to break back into the first-team, Cech is now ready to quit the club in the New Year and it’s believed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Roma will all make moves for the star.

Rudi Garcia faces losing his current number-one, Morgan de Sanctis, in the Summer and he believes Cech is the ideal replacement.

As for Arsenal and Liverpool, both Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers are in the market for new goalkeepers, with Wenger facing an injury crisis and Rodgers losing faith in Simon Mignolet.
