Winger commits to Manchester United

Manchester United winger Ashley Young is set to sign a new three-year deal at Old Trafford, according to reports.

The Red Devils are seemingly holding contract talks with some first-team players after Phil Jones signed a new four-year deal earlier in the week.

New Contract for Young

Now it’s Young who is set to put pen to paper on a new three-year deal worth ÂŁ120k-a-week, which is what his existing contract is worth.

However, several bonuses will be added into the new deal for the 29-year-old, with United willing to reward him for trophies won and also games played.

Manchester United Ups and Downs

Young fell out of favour at Old Trafford during David Moyes‘ reign, and also struggled under Sir Alex Ferguson, but he has managed to turn his career around under Louis Van Gaal and was putting in some man of the match performances throughout last season.

The England international found a new role at right-wing back under Van Gaal‘s 3-5-2 formation and he seemingly settled into that role quickly.

The club are set to announce the new deal later this week.
