United are seeking back-up for David de Gea

Turkish club Galatasaray have offered goalkeeper Fernando Muslera to Manchester United this summer for £10.5 million.

It is understood the Turkish Super Lig outfit are ready to let the 29-year-old leave, after five years at the club, making 193 appearances.

Manchester United are looking for back-up options for David de Gea, who has been linked with a move back to Spain, with Real Madrid.

And, although the Spaniard has signed a new deal with the club, since last summer’s transfer saga between United and Real, the Red Devils are not certain whether Los Blancos will not return with a renewed offer.

United monitoring situation

The Red Devils have been monitoring Muslera since Sir Alex Ferguson was at the club, and now Galatasaray are ready to let him go to Old Trafford.

He is highly-rated in Turkey and, although born in Argentina, has represented Uruguay at international level.

However, any deal for the former Lazio shot stopper may be postponed until the future of Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford has been sorted.

Jose Mourinho has been tipped to take over at United this summer – cutting short Van Gaal’s reign – meaning the Portuguese may have his own targets, should he move to Old Trafford.
