Ateltico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has declared that he isn’t interested in taking three players from the Premier League to the Spanish capital this transfer window.

The Club had been linked with Fernando Torres of Chelsea, Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla and Manchester United’s Mexican forward Javier Hernandez.

However, Cerezo moved quickly to rule out any forthcoming bids for the trio by saying:

“Many names have been mentioned, but none of those players, neither Cazorla, [Jose] Callejon, Torres nor Chicharito [Hernandez] are on our agenda,” Cerezo told Radio Marca

“If we sign another player, it won’t be any of them.”

Having lost Diego Costa, Adrian and David Villa, Atletico are looking for attacking re-inforcements, and have just added Antoine Griezmann to their squad for ÂŁ25 million from La Liga rivals Real Sociedad.

Torres had been linked with a return to his former club since the arrival at Stamford Bridge of Diego Costa, however Jose Mourinho is now content with this attacking options and won’t be letting either of his three forwards leave this window.

He said: ”Three strikers is fundamental in a squad and we have three strikers; Fernando, Didier [Drogba] and Diego [Costa] so one of them is not going for sure.”
