Chelsea youngster Christian Atsu has plenty of interest, as many as 15 clubs are after his signature.
The Ghanaian 22 year old, who plays on the left wing but is also adept through the middle, has not made a senior first-team appearance for the Stamford Bridge outfit. He spent last season on loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, making 28 appearances and scoring 5 goals. He signed for Chelsea only last year from Porto.
Atsu, who played in Ghana’s World Cup loss to the United States, has plenty of attention from the likes of Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham. Scottish Premier side Celtic are also keen, as well as clubs from Spain and Germany. He did not join his Chelsea team-mates on their Pre-season trip to Austria. Most of Chelsea’s summer signings, including Felipe Luis, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa ahve flown out.
A potential sticking point for the Toffees however, is that they are also keen on Atsu’s Chelsea team-mate Romelu Lukaku. They would have to bring in one on a permanent deal, because they are not allowed to loan two players from the same Premier League club.
