The AC Milan striker refused to board a flight to London

AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca rejected a move to West Ham United by refusing to board a flight to London in order to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

The Hammers set aside ÂŁ30 million to be spent on a new striker this summer, and it remains to be seen whether the east London club can strengthen their forward line before they kick of their Premier League campaign away to Chelsea a week on Monday.

It is understood that the Colombia was not impressed with what West Ham had to offer, and would prefer to stay at the Serie A outfit, while AC Milan are keen on selling the striker so they can make a move for Besiktas midfielder Jose Sosa.

Slaven Bilic recently admitted he is looking to add one more signing to the four he has already brought in this summer, and it is strongly believed that it is a striker they are in search for, with want-away striker Diafra Sakho potentially on his way out.

Milan demanded ÂŁ25.4 million for Bacca, which is understood to be what the Hammers agreed, however, the player’s disinterest could force Bilic to keep ahold of Senegal international Sakho, whose move to West Brom for ÂŁ16 million fell through last week.

Officials of the Serie A outfit are set to discuss the next step, after Bacca’s refusal to join the Hammers, on Monday. But it remains to be seen if the 29-year-old can be tempted to change his mind before the transfer window closes.
