Balague: “Bale going nowhere”

Gareth Bale will not leave Real Madrid for the Premier League this January according to Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

Various reports suggested that the Welsh winger could be set for a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United being heavily linked with the player in recent months.

With Red Devils boss, Louis Van Gaal unwilling to respond to questions raised about whether a bid was imminent to attempt to capture Bale once the window reopened, speculation rose over a potential world-record bid from the Premier League side.

However, Balague has rubbished rumours and has insisted that Bale could not be happier at Madrid at the moment, he said: Real Madrid insist he is not for sale, The player and his entourage insist he is happy and he only really just arrived at Madrid.”

“He has to improve, the defensive work has to be more efficient, but having to improve doesn’t mean leaving a club.”

Even the player himself has admitted that Madrid is the only place for him, he said: “Manchester United? I’m happy in Madrid. I love the city, the weather and the club. I’m eager to win more silverware here.”

“I have a contract with Real Madrid until 2019 and could remain for more years after the end of it.”
