Gareth Bale’s agent has rubbished claims that the Welsh star could be on his way back to the Premier League as part of a swap deal for Angel Di Maria. The 25-year old was believed to be high on the wishlist of Man United boss Louis Van Gaal.
It had been suggested that Real were willing to sell the player, despite signing him for a world record £85m. Further reports added that Carlo Ancelotti was regretting selling Di Maria to the Red Devils over the summer and that he would be willing to take part in a swap deal.
However, these reports have now been rubbished by one of the Welsh wizard’s representatives. The representative, David Mannaseh, has claimed that there is no truth to these reports whatsoever: “Rubbish, these rumours about a swap are absolute rubbish.
“It is not true that Bale wants to return to the Premier League, everything is going well for him in Madrid and he wants to continue wearing the Real shirt.”
So with these reports now quashed, it seems unlikely that we will see Bale returning to the Prem (and Di Maria returning to La Liga) anytime soon.
