The Welshman is “100 per cent” committed to Madrid

Jonathan Barnett, the player’s agent has dashed the hopes of a host of English teams interested in the Real forward.

Bale has been criticized for several indifferent performances this season, including a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in March, and last night’s defeat to Juventus provoked more jibes.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder, Roy Keane claimed Bale “gave absolutely nothing” during his post-match analysis for ITV, during yesterday’s semi-final in Turin.

Bale’s representative was quick to refute the Irishman’s claims and made it clear his client would prefer to remain at the Bernabeu.

Barnett said: “Why should we take any notice of comments from people who don’t know what they are talking about – and from people who have failed in management.”

“This is only an issue in England. Gareth is at the biggest club in the world. He is one of the best players in the world. He is fine.”

A season of ups and downs

The Welsh man has been criticized by fans before; in January he was jeered, despite scoring in a 3-0 win against Espanyol, after failing to pass to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Then his car was attacked by supporters waiting outside the club’s training ground, after Real suffered a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Clasico, back in March.

Fans may be divided on the forward but the club’s president, Florentino Perez described Bale as a “unique” player and would prefer to keep hold of him.

Perez explained: “He is the key to the club’s future, just like I cannot imagine a future without Cristiano Ronaldo.”

With uncertainty comes speculation and Manchester United appear to be in the front of the queue for any potential move away from Spain.

The recent announcement of a world record £750M kit deal with Adidas would certainly provide manager Louis Van Gaal with the reported £100M needed to sign Bale.
