The player has been set to make a move back to Premier League but the deal seems to have stalled.
Mario Balotelli’s move to the Premier League club West Ham United seems to be in jeopardy after the player has been scheduled for a medical with the Ligue 1 club Marseille today. According to French media outlet L’Equipe, as cited by the Express, the former Liverpool star has been tipped to join Marseille and a medical ahead of his joining has been scheduled today, which has put the possibility of the player making it to the London Stadium in complete confusion.
The Hammers have been eyeing a viable replacement for their talisman Marko Arnautovic as the Austrian has been tipped to make a move out of the east London club and join an unnamed suitor in the cash-rich Chinese Super League this January. With the former Manchester City striker been given the green signal to leave his current club by manager Patrick Vieira, speculations are rife that the player is set to head back to Premier League, this time to ply his trade for West Ham United.
However, his alleged move to fellow Ligue 1 club Marseille has created confusion and his move to the London Stadium seems to be stalled for the time being.
