AC Milan centre forward Mario Balotelli has signed a long term deal, thought to be for the rest of his professional playing career with Italian sports brand Puma, who have released a press release following the caputure of the Italian.

The Italian, formerly of Manchester City was a former Nike athlete, but has recently signed a multi million deal, to endorse the brands Boot sales, and sports wear in general really, in a smart move by the brand.

The striker, who signed for Milan in the January of this year, was spotted in the midweek draw to AS Roma wearing a pair of rather unusual, creative unbranded football boots, made up of various Newsapaper headlines of his colourful time spent in England with Manchester City.

The move by Balotelli to switch to Italian based Sports brand may be a good one regarding Balotelli’s PR marketing team, as Puma sponsor the Italian national team, and Balotelli will be looking for a confident tournement for the Azzuri in next summer’s showpiece in Brazil.

The controversial Italian has had a prolific start in Serie A, after notching twelve goals in thirteen games at the back end of last season, however supporters of the club have endured a tough start to the season, despite the re- capture of fan favourite Kaka.

Balotelli will debut the boots in tonights Milan derby against Inter.
