The Catalan giants want to move fast amid fears Jurgen Klopp could lure them to Anfield.

Barcelona want to try and tie up deals soon for Marco Reus and Ilkay Gundogan, due to fears they could soon be snapped up by Liverpool.

Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Klopp could lure the two to Anfield, due to his previous connections with them at Borussia Dortmund. Reus in particular was heavily linked with a move even before Klopp was appointed manager and speculation is once again rife that he will finally make the move to England with the Reds.

Transfer embargo

However, Barcelona are hoping to secure a deal for the duo before Liverpool can, despite the fact the Spanish club are currently under a transfer embargo. They have been able to sign players – Turan and Vidal signed in the summer – but they are unable to play until January because of it.

The La Liga side have sent scouts to watch both players in recent weeks and they are ready to launch a bid for them both as soon as the winter transfer window opens.
