Reports suggest that Barcelona are keen to sign Chelsea star N’Golo Kante in January. Earlier, there were reports that Barca were interested in signing the Frenchman this summer. PSG are also keeping close tabs on Kante as they did during the summer.
N’Golo Kante himself said that Chelsea and PSG had talks. However, he did not want to leave Chelsea and remained at Stamford Bridge.
One of the best midfielders in the world, Kante has been in sensational form lately. He was an integral player in France’s World Cup win this summer and has done brilliantly for Chelsea so far
Kante joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016 a few months after guiding Leicester to the Premier League title. In his very first season, he helped Chelsea win the Premier League. Kante was Premier League’s Player of the Year that season. The following season, he helped Chelsea win the FA Cup.
So far, N’Golo Kante has played 96 matches for Chelsea, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.
Either way, no matter how big Barca bid for the midfielder in January, Chelsea will certainly try their level best to keep Kante at Stamford Bridge.
