Barcelona initiated a conversation with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou this summer, as per Catalan radio station, RAC1.
After yet another premature exit from the Champions League, the Blaugrana are targetting ways to bring back their strongest side from over the recent years. That would mean adding back the shifty Brazilian who has been hard to replace ever since his departure in 2017.
The Blaugrana are ready to offer Ousmane Dembele, a player on whom they spent nearly €150m, in exchange for Neymar. Reports have linked the PSG star with a move back to Camp Nou but it was never as close to becoming a reality as it is now.
After two seasons with the Ligue 1 giant, Neymar has grown frustrated with the lack of Champions League pedigree in his current side. He seems to be open to a move back to his former club and Barcelona are looking to capitalize on that.
It is still quite vague if an agreement will be reached since the Parisians’ owner, Qatar Sports Investment has continuously denied rumours of their top two stars, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe leaving the club any time soon.
Neymar still is the world’s most expensive player since his €222m trade two seasons back. The report claims that it will take even more cash than just Dembele’s signature to convince PSG into a deal.
