Barcelona’s General Manager of football Pep Segura has said that the club has no intention of selling winger Ousmane Dembele. Dembele joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund last summer on a fee of €105 million.

This season, Dembele has struggled to adapt to Ernesto Valverde’s style which has seen him miss out on most of Barca’s recent matches. This has led to several rumors of Dembele leaving the club. Liverpool and Arsenal are two clubs who are reportedly interested in signing him.

However, Segura has said that he believes Dembele will adapt to Valverde’s style and stay at the club. Segura said, “There is no problem with Dembele. Yes, we had a meeting, just like yesterday I met with three other representatives, but it’s normal, it’s part of my job, they’re natural things.

Dembele is very young and has never had to make an effort like the one he is doing now to adapt to Barca’s game. We recognise that it is hard for him and he also recognises it, but we’re working to change this situation as quickly as possible.”

Dembele is now training with the national team ahead of their Nations League match against Netherlands.
