According to reports from Don Balon, Barcelona are keen to make a swap move for PSG star Kylian Mbappe. The report claims that Barcelona will give PSG Philippe Coutinho and a €150 million in return for Mbappe.
Barcelona have kept close tabs on the France forward and have admired him for a while now. Several clubs showed interest in Mbappe during the summer but PSG did not sell him. Hence, Barcelona have decided to up the ante by offering Coutinho as well as a massive amount.
Coutinho has been an integral player for Barcelona since he joined them from Liverpool. Besides, Coutinho is a good friend of PSG talisman and his Brazil teammate Neymar. Barca will hope to use this to their advantage.
Kylian Mbappe has established himself as football’s new poster boy in the past 12 months. He joined PSG from Monaco on loan last year before signing a permanent deal in the summer. So far, Mbappe has made 62 appearances for the club, scoring 36 goals. This season, the 20-year old has been in remarkable form so far. He has scored 16 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season so far.
Hence, provided Barcelona do manage to sign Mbappe, it will be a massive benefit for them. After all seeing Messi and Mbappe play together in the same team is a huge bonus for Barca and a treat for the eyes of football fans.
