FC Barcelona are showing interest in Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera.
The La Liga giants are in the market for a new centre-midfielder with long-serving star Xavi set to quit the club at the end of the season.
Xavi is joining a Qatar club over the Summer and despite Barca currently under a transfer embargo, they are already putting together a wishlist for potential replacements.
Barcelona aren’t allowed to sign anyone until this time next year due to breaking regulations at youth level.
As for Herrera, he has hit top form in recent weeks at Old Trafford and even bagged a brace against Aston Villa on Saturday during their 3-1 victory, and according to reports, Barca have seen enough to add him to the wishlist.
With Fabregas leaving last year and Andres Iniesta now turning 30, Barca officials are desperate to add younger players to their squad and Herrera is one target they have in mind.
According to reports, Barca made an offer to Athletic Bilbao when Herrera was at the club, but they turned it down eventually leading him to join Manchester United.
