Apart from Barcelona’s usual pursuits of Neymar and Antoine Griezmann this summer, the Catalans are also said to be keen on signing a center-back this summer.
Barca were close to signing Matthijs de Ligt before the transfer window opened. However, with Juventus steering clear ahead of them in the race for the Dutchman’s signature, La Blaugrana have changed their targets.
Barcelona are now rumoured to be courting Manchester United center-back Victor Lindelof. The Swedish defender joined United for €35m in 2017 from Benfica. Following a rough debut season in the Premier League, he found his feet in the second season, emerging as United’s most important defender.
According to reports, the Spanish giants hope to open talks with Lindelof this week.
