According to the latest reports, Barcelona have offered Paris Saint-Germain £90m plus two players for Neymar.
The Parisians have a six-man list out of which they can pick out two. Five of the players thought to be in the list are Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Malcom, Nelson Semedo and Ivan Rakitic.
PSG have stated clearly they would like to recoup the entire £200m they spent on Neymar and more. Now, with Barcelona already spending close to £170m on Frenkie De Jong and Antoine Griezmann this summer, they are a bit restricted in their transfer deals.
Neymar himself is unhappy at PSG as one can tell from his demeanour since the past month. The 27-year-old missed out on the Copa America win due to injury and then missed pre-season training with PSG for an entire week.
He reportedly even expressed a desire to leave, as revealed by the Ligue 1 outfit’s chairman, Leonardo. PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel even said, “I am always disappointed when a player turns up late but it is clear between us, now it is between the club and Neymar.
“I knew he wanted to leave before the Copa America but it is something between the club and player. I am the coach, he’s my player. If he is in the locker room, this is my player and I work with him.”
We will have to wait out and see if PSG accept Barcelona’s offer. Dembele and Coutinho were brought in for record deals and Malcom is a young budding winger with a lot of upside.
