Barcelona are still hoping to rope in French midfielder Paul Pogba from Manchester United. Pogba starred for the Red Devils in their 2-1 win over Leicester City. Captaining the team for the first time, Pogba scored the first goal of the Premier League. Following the match, Pogba hinted about his unsatisfaction at Old Trafford. When asked about his situation at the club, the 25-year old said, “There are things that I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.”

Following the club’s 2-1 win over Sevilla in the Supercopa de Espana, Barca President Josep Maria Bartomeu said,  “I won’t speak of any names, we have respect for all clubs and there are 20 days left. We’ll see which players come out. We’re focused on the league, so it’s best to ask [Eric] Abidal, [Ramon] Planes or Pep Segura about players. There’s still time to do business.” The Spanish transfer window closes on August 31.

Earlier, reports claimed that the Frenchman’s agent Mino Raiola talked to Barcelona about a possible deal.
