Members of the first-team are urging club to land Arsenal right-back
FC Barcelona players are urging the club to try and sign Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, according to reports.
The young right-back started his career in Spain with Barca‘s youth set-up, but after failing to break into their first-team, he completed a transfer to Arsenal, where he’s gone on to develop into one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
Despite still being young, Bellerin is Arsenal’s regular right-back now, displacing Mathieu Debuchy from the first-team, which eventually lead to the experienced Frenchman having to go out on loan to get game-time.
The 20-year-old has impressed throughout the season, with his pace a real asset for him bombing forward to join attacks and also tracking back to help defend.
Barca Players Impressed
Arsenal and English spectators aren’t the only people that have been impressed with Bellerin however, as reports in Spain are claiming several members of Barca’s first-team want the club to bring the defender back to the Nou Camp.
Reports in Spain claim players from the club have been impressed with the youngster, and have been watching his performances in recent months.
It’s also stated that Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique spoke to Bellerin after the game on Tuesday night and asked about his situation.
Arsenal have a history of selling to Barcelona, with the likes of Thierry Henry, Alex Hleb, Alex Song, Thomas Vermaelen and Cesc Fabregas all joining the Catalan club from North London.
