Joan Laporta, the club president, has given Barcelona permission to pursue two big names in the transfer market, Nico Williams and Dani Olmo, so the team is getting ready to make some significant signings in the near future. Ferran Martinez claims that Barcelona has formally offered Dani Olmo’s release clause of €60 million to RB Leipzig.
Although it appears that Barcelona has been able to negotiate an extension for a few more weeks, Olmo’s release clause is about to expire. Now that he is thinking about leaving the Bundesliga team, the Spain star is going to evaluate the agreement.
According to rumours, Barcelona made him an offer that included a pay increase after the first two seasons, much like what Robert Lewandowski and Nico Williams received. While Olmo considers his options, he has also received offers from Manchester United, Bayern, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
Three players Barcelona have to sell
In order to make room for Olmo and Williams for the upcoming season, Barcelona will obviously need to make some cuts to their present roster. These three players represent what the Blaugrana would probably need to give up in order to bring both of the Spanish forwards to the team this summer.
The three players whose names are available for sale are Ansu Fati, Raphinha, and IIkay Gundogan. It would be best for the club and the player to offload Fati, as he would be severely limited in his playing time at Barça if both Nico and Olmo arrived.
