Brazil legend Ronaldinho is returning to former club Barcelona to become an ambassador.

The 36-year-old, who had an extremely successful five year spell at the Nou Camp between 2003 and 2008, will not be playing for the Spanish giants on the field but will be an integral part of their brand.

The former Ballon d’Or winner has not yet officially retired from the sport.

However, he will have an important responsibility on his shoulders at the club. His job includes a role in Barcelona’s plans to expand international growth as the club prepares to open offices in New York, USA.

The eight-club star, who has been named Fifa Player of the Year twice during his time in Spain, left Barca to join Italian giants AC Milan to make way for up and coming youngster at the time Lionel Messi.

Ronaldinho has a very impressive CV but the pick of the bunch is that he won the La Liga twice and the Champions League when his side beat Arsenal 2-1 in the 2005/06 final.
